NGM Floating Development Projects
NGM's structures varies from mixed-use and regeneration projects, residential developments as well as commercial/retail outlets and hotel/leisure facilities.
The structures have great flexibility in design and can be made to fit in with any existing environment.
PROJECTS WITH PLANNING ACHIEVED
Individual floating home, Shepperton
In December 2008, NGM successfully gained planning approval for the UK's first flood resilient home with the ability to rise up with increasing water levels. The home will sit in the floodplain near the rivers edge and when floods occur the home will rise up, thereby maintaining the function of the floodplain. This unique new development methodology means there is no need for landfill.

54 bed floating hotel, Hartlepool
In March 2009, NGM and Whitbread (Premier) achieved full planning approval for a 54 bed floating hotel in Hartlepool. The hotel will have fantastic views over the Hartlepool Docks and Marina. It will be an extension to the existing hotel on the quay side. Due to the lack of land and the inherent flood risk the only place to build the hotel was on the water.

Mixed-use floating structures, Middlesbrough
NGM has been commissioned by the developer BioRegional Quintain (BQL) to provide technical appraisals to evaluate the potential for water-based and floating structures at Middlehaven Docks in Middlesbrough. The BQL led project received outline planning consent in March 07 and is based around the master planning concept of Alsop.

NGM is in discussions with several Local Council and Port Authorities throughout the UK to develop mixed-use floating developments.
